My new favorite series!! Seriously. Being raised on Disney movies, I'm a big fairy tale fan. This book takes classic fairy tale characters and places them in a modern (and underground) setting. Before you poo-poo the book, let me tell you...it is not for kids. heh. There's all the good stuff; sex, violence, and wealth. I just ordered volume 2 from amazon because my comic book store is out...and I really just cannot wait to read the next trade!!

Not really a comic book, but I did pick it up at the comic book store. That counts right? This paperback chronicles Bruce Lee's films (with photos & discussion) as well as several other kung-fu flicks. I love Bruce Lee so this one was a no-brainer.

While reading this, I was wondering when the action would start. I soon forgot about the action because O'Malley does a great job building the characters' personalities. Also, the action does come. hah. Scott Pilgrim lives in Canada & kind of has 2 girlfriends...one of which has 7 evil ex-boyfriends that he has to defeat. It's graphic novel meets video game...and that equals addictive fun.
